Day 2 of reading the American Bank Recovery Plan. Its over 1000 pages. Have got to page 732 and its starting to effect me. Its a bit like watching too many episodes of the sopranos...only in this case I don't start to believe I'm Tony. Must get a life. Hope to go swimming at the HC tonight with Mrs K and the kittens... if they feel like getting their fur wet.

I have actually left the office at 5.30 today... amazing. I can't remember the last time I got out at such a reasonable time. There is a new maltese lady who is ruthlessly   efficient...everyone is scared of her but I suppose the short meetings are a major plus point. Plan to go to HC with Mrs K. Just hope the trains are working and I don't spend 2 hours at Victoria.

Am conflicted at 9 O'clock tonight there are two family programs. On BBC 2 a documentary about particle physics. The hicks boson particle. And on C4 there is a documentary about the private lives of the Medieval Kings of England. Tough one. You will enjoy both, but better leave it to me to make the final decision.

Hi Kittens!

Another brutal day regulating. I am going to Bonn in Germany on Wednesday...back Thursday for the Crisis Management Committee meeting. Bonn was the capital of Germany after the war... as Berlin was in the Russian Territory. Apparently its a bit of a dump as it was flattened by the Allies and was rebuild in 60s style concrete. Don't worry will get souvenirs for you both.

Hi Kittens!

Well have had a bit of luck today. They are reorganising the desks etc over the weekend for 3 floors of the Firm... one of which is ours. so we all had to leave the building at 3 pm. Great. Have just been to buy a card and box of chocs for Grandma as it is Mothers Day on Sunday -hint hint. Am now off to Regents Street to buy a Country Doctor jacket. My one has started to fall apart. Hmmmm maybe I should get a country farmer one this time.

Well I don't know what happened to the first Guests. I left before they were up. I checked Trip Advisor this evening but there was no entry. Maybe they haven't found an internet cafe yet to lodge their complaints. Maybe I should do a spoof one with a few Italian words thrown in so Mrs K thinks its genuine.  " The manageress was a real Madonna, the bread rolls she served for breakfast were like rocks.... I broke a tooth, there was no beeday, my fiat had been vandalised.. etc"

Hi Kittens!

Well I wrote a long email to the German Regulater (the Ban Fin) and then I went to a Working Group meeting in the City and got really beaten up by the participants, as they weren't keen on our proposals. Missed lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon reading a tedious American Bank document. Mrs K is testing Hotel Baskerville today as she has a friend of Doras staying for one night. I can't wait to read the review on that site with the owl... Trip advisor. "The manageress was rude. The food was dreadful, the room filthy, my car was vandalised and to top it all the daughter of family returned  late at night...drunk... and threw up in my ensuite bathroom". I'll report back tomorrow.

Hi Kittens!

Well another busy day regulating and I am hoping to go swimming this evening with Em Kitten and possibly Mrs K. Must admit I felt really rough on Sunday after dinner at the Blands. I 'm sure Beany is getting worse as he gets older. I have been eating a lot of chips lately. Friday lunch and dinner and Saturday night as well. Think I'm absorbing welsh cultural habits.

You won't believe how difficult it was to find an Italian Flag at Canary Wharf lunchtime but I managed to find one in Carlucio's. Mrs K will be thrilled that I am asserting my Italian heritage at the Match tonorrow. Be back Saturday night for supper with the Blands. Out look for Sunday not good...

I need to get a job in an investment bank,,, it would be less pressured. its 7.45 and I have just left the office. I have been in meetings all day back to back. Had to eat lunch on the DLR and didn't manage to have a cigarette untill 5pm. I might as well give up. Oh well friday tomorrow. Then off to see Wales V Italy at Cardiff Arms Park. Come on you Romans!!

What a day. I have had 6 hours of meetings excluding travel time but did manage to have a quick soup, bread, salad, chicken and kitkat lunch. Am just off to Sakura restaurant in Conduit Street to meet Mrs K's favourite.... Steve. Feel burnt out. This is no lifeestyle for a chap of my age group.

Hi Kittens!

Well what a day. Flat out regulating. Had a meeting with the Bank of England this afternoon and the DLR stopped because they closed Bank Station. Had to get back to the Wharf and dial in. Worst Tel conf I've ever been on. Everyone was cross. Then at 6 we had a call with the Federal Reserve... an excercise in avoiding telling one another anything useful. Yawn. Now homebound to Mrs K and some tea and crumpets in front of the fire.

Hi Kittens!

Had a terrible nights sleep. Mrs K was snoring and Kicking me all night. Anyway, Peter - the project manager - had never had a fine dining experience . So we all went to a restaurant in Fitzrovia (near Tottenham Court Road ) called Pied de Terre For their GBP 35 special lunch. It was a bit like Chez Bruce. Paul thought the food....was alright. Left at 12 and got back at 4pm so a bit of a low achievement day. Now off to see Marcus for an update on MicroFinance World.

Hi Kittens! I had curry for lunch. I shouldn't have had the lime pickle. Foul taste of decaying citrus fruit has been permeating my body all afternoon. Mrs K will avoid my oderous breath and make me sleep with a gas mask on. Have just got out of a 2 hour meeting at the bank.Gruelling. Lost the plot half way through and am not sure what we agreed to. Was relieved when I didn't get asked to do the minutes. Hope to go swimming at the HC later. Hopefully the chlorine will counteract the lime pickle.

Hi Kittens!
Another gruelling day regulating. I spent 2 hours this afternoon in a windowless conference room the size of an aircraft hanger. Is this living? Wend  is over so Mrs K and her are probably already on their 8th Gin and tonic discussing what to do about schools. Am going to Grandmas tomorrow and am looking forward to playing my new Little Barrie CD in the car - Mrs K has vetoed me playing it in the house. I can't get enough of Little Barrie and I understand Mick's remark - " I'd give a limb to see Little Barrie". They are just so good. You wait till your birthdays.

I think Mrs K is taking me to see Mongolian Hotel tonight. Must be another mindless rom com. Upper middle class, slightly dim, but entertaining hamster with a lisp accidentally escapes from cage. Meets working class blond lady hamster who has extremely bad eye sign and has had a series of failed relationships with the strong and silent type of hamster - turns out she has been living in a shoe shop and dating brown fluffy slippers.
